Legends Barber College (LBC) was founded in April of 2018 by Chester Pleasant Jr, the present Chief Executive Officer. The institution officially enrolled its first student on June 1, 2018, at which time the first class was held. The date of the first graduate was September 2018.
All programs are offered at the certificate level and lead to a state-issued license after successfully passing the state examination. Legends Barber College offers a certificate of completion for Class A Barber.
The institution operates on a twelve-month calendar, with continuous enrollment. In a typical calendar year enrollment is 20 students for the Barber School. A typical post-secondary full-time student attends 30 clock hours per week. Legends Barber College (LBC) does not have a classified summer session. The delivery system used for instruction is the traditional classroom lecture and laboratory practice on the clinic floor.
The campus full-time administrative staff members are Chester Peasant Jr, Meagan Pleasant. The campus full-time instructional staff member is Chester Pleasant Jr.

Legends Barber College offers state of an art barbering field. The main campus is located in Lufkin, TX. The administrative office is located on the main campus. There are no branch campuses currently. The facility is approximately 2200 sq. ft. and is centrally heated, air-conditioned, and very well-lighted. LBC is in the Brookshire Brothers parking lot where students can obtain hot meals. There are 25 styling chairs and stations, 1 classroom, 1 lab area, 2 offices, a Media Center, a supply room, a restroom, and a student breakroom. The training facility has modern professional barber stations, hairdryers, a shampoo bowl, and sanitation equipment. The lab area is designed to ensure that students develop the job skills and knowledge necessary for employment.
LBC maintains modern professional equipment for student use. The facilities and equipment meet American with Disabilities Association (ADA) standards and are suitable for persons with disabilities. LBC will provide reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities. Courses are designed to ensure that students develop the job skills and knowledge necessary for professional employment.
Admissions
Admission as a regular student requires a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent of a high school diploma. Recognized equivalents include a state GED certificate and secondary-level homeschooling.

Applicants to the Barber program must be at least 16 years of age.
Applicants to the Instructor program for Barbering
must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Class A Barber operator license.
Legends Barber College has an open enrollment policy, and all prospective students will go through an interview process. The registration process is as follows:

The Mission of Legends Barber College is to provide career and technical education for men and women in the barbering field. Our goal is to instruct students to such competency levels that they are qualified for initial employment and/or career advancement.
